Annual CF sports awards ceremony set for October

The Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA) would like to honour the exceptional sporting accomplishments of CF athletes, coaches, officials, and teams. On October 21, these athletes will congregate in Ottawa for the 18th Annual CF Sports Awards Ceremony.
Overall CF winners will be awarded in six categories: Male and Female Athlete, Male and Female Coach, Team, and Official of the Year. Three outstanding athletes will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame and Honour Roll for years of sporting excellence while serving in the CF.
Over the next seven weeks, the top nominees from the five CF environments-Maritime Command, Land Force Command, Air Command, Chief Military Personnel, and VCDS-will be profiled in The Maple Leaf in this regular CF Sports Awards feature.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on October 21, and appear in The Maple Leaf the following week. The CF National Sports Program, organized by CFPSA, promotes fitness and good health within the military community, and thus, contributes to the CF's mandate of operational readiness.
