A National Sponsorship List... Why?

By Jacques Adam

Jacques Adam, Sponsorship Specialist (Central region), CFPSA Ottawa

Is there any benefit in sharing our list of sponsors and their properties? The answer is yes, in most cases. Developing a national registry of all sponsors supporting NPF activities could prevent conflict between bases/wings/units attempting to use the same sponsor. It could also open discussions between local offices and headquarters. Larger budgets are normally available at the headquarters level. Keeping a national list doesn’t preclude local solicitation. Instead, it helps coordinate sponsorship efforts at both levels. Providing the names of your sponsors to the sponsorship specialists will help us to keep everyone informed of the sponsorship activities across our NPF organization. It will also ensure that if a clients sponsor similar properties and if several bases are dealing with one sponsor, there may be an opportunity to create synergy.
