Canadian Forces communities, like many civilian communities, are facing increasing challenges in addressing programs and services for youth. The Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA) has demonstrated strong support for families and youth, and this commitment is growing. The 1999 National Youth Summit began a process that has culminated in the development of a National Programs And Services Model for youth from military families. The purpose of the model is to develop a CF youth approach that will enhance existing planning, development, and delivery strategies for youth programs and services. The ultimate vision for success will be achieved when youth from Canadian Forces families receive seamless and quality programs and services wherever they live and whatever their needs.
