Search and Rescue Technicians Physical Fitness Selection Standard
Project Status: In Development

The development of this physical fitness standard follows this process and timeline.

This project will also include:
1. An applicant training program that can be provided to SAR Tech applicants to act as a tool in preparation for the selection standard,

2. A technical document (operators manual) that contains the scientific details needed for evaluators to deliver the developed protocol and standard

Provided there are no major research changes to the protocol and standard after pilot implementation, the intent is to begin using the selection standard for 2009 SAR Tech Selection process in the summer of 2009.
