Merchandising Tips for your Golf Shop

Maximize the space you have by focusing your high margin items in your prime feature areas or on your counter (products that are lower margin items with significant marketing can be placed in lower traffic areas). Your key feature areas should also be changed on a regular basis to reflect the type of weather i.e. put your key rainwear items at the front along with your rain gloves during wet days, on stifling hot summer days make sure your coolest garments are displayed in your key feature areas. You could also have staff picks in your key feature areas (items that your staff highly recommend that represent the best value and have higher margins), similar to what happens at book stores.
