New Face at DMFS

Lynda Manser – Project Manager, Child Care

Lynda Manser was born in rural Ontario, and has lived in Toronto, Ottawa and most recently Chelsea, Quebec. She joins DMFS team as the Project Manager for the Child Care Portfolio on the Policy and Program Development team.

Following a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology and a minor in Social Development Studies, Lynda continued her education at McGill University. There, she completed her Master’s degree in Management, specializing in National Voluntary Sector Leaders.

Lynda has spent many years working in the social development, research and policy arenas with a variety of Canadian non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Her work has focused predominantly on children and youth, specifically those at-risk or involved in the child protection and welfare systems.

Lynda has been aware of the Military Family Services Program for several years, as her partner has worked with CF personnel and their families here in Canada and around the world. She also has family ties to the CF through her grandfather, who was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Regiment in London, serving in France and England during World War II.

Lynda is excited to be part of the DMFS team and looks forward to working with MFRCs and military families to enhance the child care services offered to the CF community.
