Congratulations to all 2008 DND Photography Contest Winners

From a family cradling their newest member to a group of soldiers on patrol, the winning photographs of the 2008’s Department of National Defence (DND) Photography Contest captured military life in all its variety.

The annual contest celebrates the best photos of the year taken by professional and amateur photographers, and is open to Canadian Forces members, families, veterans, and Non-Public Funds staff.

This year’s major award winners were: Professional Photographer of the Year, Corporal (Cpl) Simon Duchesne; Amateur Photographer of the Year, Sergeant Marco Comisso; Best in Show Professional, Cpl Simon Duchesne and Amateur, Captain Glenn Dean; Environment Award, Master Cpl Yves Daigle; and People’s Choice Award, Cpl Dan Pop. 

Director Military Family Services congratulates all the winners, and looks forward to seeing what your cameras will capture in 2009!
