Canadian Forces Child Care Stakeholder Assessment Report
In April 2009, a comprehensive assessment of how to better meet the child care needs of military families was initiated. Over the next five months, Director Military Family Services gathered contextual information from Canadian Forces (CF) personnel, military families, and Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) staff, using three primary data collection methods: focus groups at the CF Child Care Symposium; a web-based on-line parent discussion forum; and a web-based on-line survey for in-country MFRCs.
The results of this assessment are summarized in the Canadian Forces Child Care Stakeholder Assessment Report (pdf 254 KB).
Child Care Parent Discussion Forum
Director Military Family Services (DMFS) is committed to ensuring ongoing communication with parents as a crucial element to enhancing child care options for Canadian Forces families.
An online discussion forum has been established for families to share their experiences and ideas with DMFS to ensure that our strategy is responsive and effective.
Please encourage military families to get involved in the online discussion forum. Your input is invaluable.
