Free Delivery for Families and Friends Sending Letters and Parcels to Deployed Troops
A letter or parcel from home can do wonders to brighten a deployed Canadian Forces (CF) member’s day. To make it easier for CF members to stay connected with their families and friends, Canada Post is continuing to partner with the Department of National Defence to offer free parcel delivery for deployed CF troops until 16 January 2009 and free letter deliver throughout 2009. This service is available for the families and friends of CF members serving in Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sinai and Jerusalem and of troops deployed on Her Majesty's Canadian Ships.
Friends and family members interested in sending some love, comfort and encouragement are invited to bring their “morale mail” to any full service Canada Post retail outlet. Be sure to include the full name, rank and the mission information of the CF member in the address.
Please visit www.canadapost.ca for more information on this program. For additional information on sending letters and emails to CF members from the general public, visit http://www.cfpsa.com/en/index.asp and follow the Support Our Troops link.
