DMFS Receiving Chief of the Defence Staff Distinguished Achievement Award

All the staff at Director Military Family Services (DMFS) staff would like to offer their warmest congratulations to Director Celine Thompson on her selection for the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Distinguished Achievement Award.

Celine has been honoured for her outstanding achievement in guiding DMFS through a time of great transformation in family services, and especially for her exceptional leadership and commitment to the Military Family Services Program’s Enhancement Initiative.

The CDS Distinguished Achievement Award was established in 2006 to recognize an individual from the Staff of the Non Public Funds, Canadian Forces (CF), who has had a positive and substantial impact on the CF or the CF community. It honours innovation, creativity, and perseverance in the design, development, and implementation of a program. The award also recognizes employees for reflecting exemplary credit on the CF Personnel and Family Support Services and its employees through leadership, commitment to service, enthusiasm, sustained performance, and continued professional development.

The Distinguished Achievement Award will be presented to Celine 16 June at the Department of National Defence Corporate Awards Ceremony, held at the Canadian War Museum.
