Writing telephone numbers

The Translation Bureau of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) recommends that the area code be followed by a hyphen instead of being enclosed within parentheses. For example: 819-555-5555. As CFPSA and NPF are part of the Federal Administration, it is recommended that we follow the same directives.
