Valcartier Garrison United Way Golf Tournament: The campaign blasts off

The Quebec Region DND United Way Campaign was officially launched at a golf tournament on Sept. 21. Organized by Jean-François Caouette, coordinator of the Centre Plein Air Castor in Valcartier, the event attracted 144 players and raised $11,088.88.
“We all teed off simultaneously. Income generated by green fees, our silent auction and games on the course were returned to United Way. Our donation will be directed to Moisson Québec. Thanks go to our generous partners and sponsors,” says Jean François, who was satisfied with the community’s response to the first-ever edition of this event.
