After almost 20 years with CFPSA and its predecessor, the Director General Personnel Services, Norm Mercier is seeking the good life in retirement. Over the years Norm developed such in depth knowledge of NPF rules and regulations that he was frequently referred to as an NPF guru. Indeed, Norm could quote page and paragraph references from the NPF manual from memory. We in the IA&R division shall not only miss Norm, the guru, but we shall miss Norm, the personality. His easy-going nature made him a pleasure to work with, and his knowledge made him a virtual expert on NPF matters. He will be hard to replace.
Norms future plans include traveling, working on his genealogy project, and documenting photographs from his travels with the CF and CFPSA. We wish Norm the very best in his retirement.
