Crunches, bicep curls, push-ups, and squats. Perhaps military circuit training isnt your cup of tea? Well until a few months ago, 25 members of the RMS Branch in Denwood, Alberta would have told you it wasnt theirs either, until they met PSP Fitness Instructor Trina Ford.
In order to prepare for the annual Battle Fitness Test (BFT), these soldiers were required to undergo some serious physical fitness training. Trina eagerly accepted the challenge of whipping them into shape. She had a difficult task at hand. The soldiers had a wide range of fitness levels, but she was committed to their success.
At the beginning of each fitness class, Trina faced less than motivated personnel, but that didnt stop her. She took action, and came up with unique and innovative ways to disguise boring circuit training in order to motivate her class. Many of the members had never been in a weight room before. Progress was painful, but Trinas expertise and assistance helped them overcome their fears.
Trina encouraged individuals to put a maximum amount of effort into every session. The effects of her fitness program are evident. The strength and stamina these individuals have built, was all thanks to Trinas motivation and guidance. With her training and support, all 25 members of RMS Branch successfully completed the BFT.
Kudos to Trina, whose enthusiasm and positive attitude truly inspired her fitness class.
