CFPSA welcomes Antoinette Strazza, the new Senior Manager Health Promotion (SMHP). Antoinette is bilingual, and brings ten years of diversified management and program development experience to the job. Her background includes training in nutrition, sexuality, mental health, alcohol, drugs and tobacco.

Previously, Antoinette worked in health promotion at the University of Ottawa, providing evidence-based health education through the design, implementation and evaluation of strategies and programs.

As an educator/manager she worked as a policy advisor, a consultant and an organizer for local, provincial and national assemblies. She was also a board member for Planned Parenthood Canada, Canada Africa Community Health Alliance and the Ontario College Health Association.

Her graduate studies in education and counseling contributed to the use of multidisciplinary theories, and behavioural and organizational change principles to benefit the health of individuals, groups and communities.

As the SMHP, Antoinette will be responsible for delivery services for the ‘Strengthening the Forces’ health promotion program in the Directorate of Human Performance and Health Promotion.
