Last September, Lori Watts became 4 Wing Cold Lake’s first PSP Manager. Lori brings 20 years of experience, both military and civilian, to this post. A former Military Policewoman, Lori excelled as an international athlete and certified fitness leader. At the inception of CFPSA, Lori worked as a fitness instructor, later becoming Fitness Coordinator at 4 Wing. In 2001, Lori deployed to Bosnia Herzegovina as a Travel Coordinator.

Lori brings definite goals to her new position. In the short term she will assess the needs of Cold Lake’s PSP customers and set goals based on meeting those needs. Lori believes in staff training with a focus on customer service and marketing. She also plans to increase PSP’s visibility within 4 Wing and the surrounding community through assertive promotion of PSP, and marketing their ability to think “outside the box,” while maintaining the staples of tradition and standardization.

Lori’s long term goals reflect CFPSA’s mission statement of “Serving Those Who Serve” …with excellence. She plans to identify recreational opportunities for target groups whose needs are not currently being met. She also plans to increase education and awareness of healthy lifestyle choices, which will have a direct and positive impact on operational readiness. Along with maintaining financial health within base funds, she will promote programs targeted at reinvesting into the military community.

With her impressive track record, we know that Lori is up to the challenge.
