Meet the NPF team of Morale and Welfare Managers at 8 Wing Trenton
Looking after a large military community takes energy and dedication, something the Morale and Welfare Managers at 8 Wing Trenton possess in abundance. Here's a look at some of the main people responsible for keeping Trenton's troops, civilian employees and families relaxed and happy.
Bob Payette - PSP Manager

This is the busiest air force base in Canada, with air mobility around the world. We get involved with every mission that the CF is involved with due to the fact that we transport most of the goods through Trenton and the AMU. As PSP we're here to support the fine individuals on the base who are working 24/7. And we're here to support their families so they can feel comfortable when they're away that their families are happy, healthy, socially active people.
CPO2 Claude Dionne - Hospitality Director

As Hospitality Director my responsibilities are very challenging and diversified. Every day there is something new to learn. Accommodation and messes require attention and we are listening to the needs of our customers. I am retiring at the end of October after serving 35 years in the CF. It has been a rewarding and wonderful experience, having the honour to serve and support our military community and families in Canada and abroad.
Manny .aspberry - Fitness and Sports Director

I enjoy the position of Fitness and Sports Director at 8 Wing Trenton because I'm involved in organizing and conducting activities for service personnel that takes them away from the job and the stress and the pressure at work.
Paul Deschamps - Facilities Coordinator

Serving those who serve is truly an honour and a great pleasure and I look forward to continuing to support the CF members, their dependants and the DND and NPF employees.
Tracy Patrick - Visit/Conference Coordinator

As the conference coordinator I have the pleasure of meeting and working with many people. My mission is to provide client-focused conferencing services to the military and other government agencies. We provide high quality clerical support, the latest in telecommunications services, excellent dining facilities and high standard accommodations, all conveniently located. Exceeding our client's requirements and expectations is our goal.
Andrea LeBlanc, Editor, The Contact Newspaper

I think I must have the best job on the Wing. I absolutely love it. I enjoy keeping our readers informed about events, milestones and the ongoing accomplishments of the many personnel, military and civilian, who work at 8 Wing/CFB Trenton.
Publishing a weekly newspaper is always challenging, never boring, and often even fun. We have a terrific staff at the newspaper, and have great support from not only the many squadrons and units, but also from the myriad Morale and Welfare personnel who so ably serve those who serve.
Cheryl Rothenburg - Health Promotion Director

I am one of the lucky ones. I have a job that I love. Health promotion is really about helping people help themselves. It is so rewarding to see participants make small changes that can have such a profound effect on their lives. My life is enriched by meeting and learning from such a diverse group of truly amazing people. The opportunity to serve those who serve is an honour and a privilege.
Andy Moreau - CANEX Manager

The daily challenges in the retail business, and the smile of a satisfied customer is what "Serving Those Who Serve" is all about. I am very fortunate to have an excellent staff and enormous support from the region as well as CANEX HQ.
Debbie Taylor - NPF Human Resources Manager

The best part of working in the HR field is the diversity of clients and new challenges. Trenton is a great place to work and all the staff pitch in to help each other in times of crisis. Along with my staff, Lynne and Sue, we enjoy helping the employees and managers with their ever-changing needs and ensuring we fulfill our mandate to improve the quality of life so we can all serve those who serve.
