CANEX home heating

By Joanne Nesseth

NPF employees seeking to save money on home heating this season need look no further. CANEX is offering the Home Heating Oil program (HHO), a program designed to save customers up to four cents per litre off the regular delivered price of home heating oil. In addition, at the end of the heating season, customers may qualify for a dividend based on their home heating oil purchase. This service is available to all NPF and retired NPF employees, military and retired military personnel as well as Commissionaires and contractors working for DND.

The HHO program is available in all provinces with the exception of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Last year CANEX saved its 12,000 HHO customers a grand total of $1.4 million.

“HHO is a great program for CANEX and its customers, because the program is specifically tailored to the military and those people working for the military,” says Pierre-Yves Dumouchel, CANEX National Manager, Services.

The same tailored policies also apply to a CANEX program providing home and auto insurance. With 52,000 policies across the country, The Personal Insurance Company prides itself on stability of rates, promising no drastic increases or decreases. Until December, customers and potential customers may enter to win $1,000 a week for an entire year for obtaining a quote from The Personal Insurance Company.
