The Divisional Employee or Team of the Year Certificate of Merit
The Certificate of Merit is awarded through a peer nomination process and is presented annually to employees and teams in recognition of outstanding service to their Division. For FY 2003/2004 it was awarded to the following teams and employees:

SISIP Financial Services

Renée Trépanier, Education and Communications Manager SISIP FS, Ottawa and team Esquimalt (Melody Birch, Diana Hrushy, Steve Kohut, Heather Rafla, Debra Sjogren and Wendy Stevens) were the recipients of the 2003 CFPSA CEO’s Award of Exceptional Merit.
Tasked to develop and implement a national personal financial management program for the CF, Renée developed a program now included in the Basic Military Qualification program for recruits and officer cadets, the Preliminary Leadership Qualification course and the Intermediate Leadership Qualification course. Renée's contribution helped lay the foundation for a program attended annually by over 5,000 CF members. This program represents a significant investment in the future financial well being of CF members and their families. In addition, Renée managed the development of marketing materials, including informative and promotional pamphlets that have refined the image of SISIP FS. She also managed the financial contribution to the highly successful Volunteer Recognition Program.

Steve Kohut and his team exemplified the characteristics of a cohesive and highly performing team by providing outstanding customer service, being innovative in finding solutions for their clients and always assisting one another. More than 1,900 CF members have attended their briefings. They have greatly enhanced the reputation and profile of SISIP FS and the CFPSA at CFB Esquimalt through their exceptional efforts and service.

Danielle Graham, Administrative Assistant to the Vice-President Financial Planning, SISIP FS, Ottawa was the 2003 SISIP FS Divisional Employee Certificate of Merit recipient. Danielle was the driving force behind the first national SISIP FS Administrative Assistant's Conference held this past November in Ottawa. The three-day conference covered many topics and included guest speakers, group sessions and a chance for all to share ideas. The end results confirmed not only her organizational skills, but her creativity and resourcefulness. Branch managers conveyed the value of such a conference after their assistants returned with new ideas that greatly improved the efficiency and level of customer service at their offices. Congratulations to all of the award recipients. You have clearly excelled and significantly contributed to the achievement of the mission, goals and objectives of the CFPSA and SISIP FS.
