Serving in Afghanistan with CFPSA Deployed Ops was a unique opportunity to live the motto "Serving Those Who Serve." As a travel coordinator, I assisted the military members in planning their Home Leave Travel Assistance, and had many happy customers. Along with seven CFPSA teammates, I lived and worked with the Kabul Multinational Brigade (KMNB) at Camp Warehouse, 15 km east of Kabul. We worked daily to make the lives of the serving members more comfortable. On Halloween we donned costumes and passed out bags of candy. On Sundays we had coffee breaks in our office. We celebrated birthdays using balloons, candles and streamers sent from Canada. I learned so much during my tour that I would highly recommend to anyone to give it a try. I thank the staff of Deployed Ops for providing this opportunity, and for their support. And I REALLY want to thank my teammates for helping to make this one of the most wonderful and memorable experiences of my life.
