Due to the generosity of its customers, CANEX, made a significant contribution to the Military Police Fund for Blind Children (MPFBC) March 30 at NDHQ, representing fund-raising efforts made during its 2003 Christmas Trim Our Tree for a Loonie campaign. In attendance for the $9,340 cheque presentation were (left to right): Jacques Croizet, CANEX Advertising and Sales Promotion Manager; Jean-Marie Pérusse, CANEX President; LCol David Shuster, MPFBC Chair; and Maj Gilles Sansterre, MPFBC Vice-Chair.
CANEX established a partnership with the MPFBC to raise funds and awareness across the country. The MPFBC, established in 1957, provides funding for programs and specialized equipment to improve the quality of life for blind children and their families across Canada. The fund is a registered charity and all contributions are tax deductible.
More information on the MPFBC is available at your local CANEX, MP detachment or on-line at http://www.vcds.dnd.ca/cfpm/pubs/blind/intro_e.asp
