Knowing that there’s nothing like a friendly sports competition to create friendship between Camp Julien residents, CFPSA's Fitness/Sports/ Recreation Coordinators organized the first ball hockey tournament of Roto 1. The “Tournoi des Sables Ball Hockey Tournament” took place March 12 on a beautiful sunny day. Twelve teams entered the tournament and a total of 21 games were played.

Congratulations on behalf of your co-workers and management. Tanya Marchenko, Corporate Systems Operations Manager, CFPSA (centre) became a Canadian Citizen on February 11, 2004.

Mr. Fernand Déry, Coordinator NPF Regional Office Quebec region, has been assigned to Op ATHENA since the beginning of the year. His son Michaël has since joined him, also working as a civilian employee with CFPSA. Both will be serving with Op ATHENA for a period of six months.

In a brief ceremony April 30, 2004, the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion President Allan Parks presented cheques totalling $75,000 to Greg Pearson, Executive Vice-President PSP, CFPSA.

The cheques represent the Legion’s ongoing support for Show Tours, the CF Sports Awards ceremony and NPP portion of CF National Sports championships. In addition the Legion also donates items to Operation SANTA CLAUS, the delivery of Christmas presents to CF members away from home during the holiday season.
