Volunteer Recognition Program is back

SISIP Financial Services has renewed its commitment to the SISIP Volunteer Recognition Program for another year. Their $100,000 contribution will go a long way towards recognizing the vital roles that volunteers play in Community Recreation and Youth Services, and Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) programs across the CF.

Last year SISIP contributed $98,000 as a pilot project. Nearly 5,000 volunteers were recognized at 47 events across Canada, the United States and in Europe. While some locations chose to celebrate with formal dinners and awards presentation, others put a new twist on an old idea. There were pig roasts and BBQs, casino nights and boat cruises; some groups even held special events for youth volunteers only.
