From the President and Chief Executive Officer
As all NPF/CFPSA employees know, our motto defines our business of "Serving Those Who Serve". While embarking on a new year, we are strong in the knowledge that our work has never been more important.
The CFPSA and the unique world of NPF exist solely to enrich the lives of military members and their families. We are driven by a genuine respect and appreciation for those men and women who serve our country so professionally and diligently. While our work is never easy, it is always meaningful. The consistently positive feedback we get from our customers speaks volumes about the work we do and the way we do it.
With more than 5,500 employees in NPF positions across Canada and overseas, we have a great presence and an even greater responsibility. The custodians of an enormous public trust, we must continue to give our customers the service excellence they require and deserve.
Thousands of deployed CF members again enjoyed a taste of home during the recent holidays because of the work we do. Operation SANTA CLAUS, one of our many programs, provided each member with a gift box containing everything from stationary and sweets to letters and cards from Canadian school children. Coordinated by PSP, the program is supported by our other two operational divisions, CANEX and SISIP, along with private sector companies who donate products for the gift boxes.
Wherever they are serving -- Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Golan Heights, or the Sinai -- our deployed troops are the recipients of our care, concern and best wishes. At the same time, their families have round-the-clock access to peace of mind through our Mission Information Line.
This is what it means to respond to client needs. This is what it means to build customer loyalty. This is what it means to "Serve Those Who Serve".
Thank you for your commitment, dedication and hard work for the past year. Please continue this professional attitude and approach.
As I have often said, happy employees make for happy customers. I sincerely hope all of you had a safe holiday season and enjoyed your time with your families, loved ones and friends.
As an organization across the country and on deployed ops, we together face a number of new challenges in 2004 and I know we will meet them successfully and with a high degree of professionalism, courtesy and esprit de corps. As we get back to business after a well-deserved break, remember always to take pride in the knowledge your customers are happier and healthier because of your efforts.
Congratulations on your continued success and all the best in this New Year of 2004.
