2003 DND Photography Contest a snapping successSponsored in part by the CFPSA, the 2003 DND Photography Contest saw a total of 642 entries, challenging the judges to determine winners from a broad range of both professional and amateur categories.

The DND Photography Contest has a long history. Run since 1968, it was originally part of an arts and crafts competition sponsored by Physical Education and Recreation personnel. Today, the Canadian Forces Joint Imagery Centre and the CFPSA, under the auspices of the Deputy Minister of National Defence, sponsor the contest.

This year, Pte Eduardo Mora Pineda was named the Professional Photographer of the year, wining three firsts, one second, and two honourable mention awards. The Amateur Photographer of the Year was MCpl Lawrence E. Harrison.
