Butt Out Facilitator Training

The fall proved to be a busy time for local Health Promotion (HP) teams. Directors and Managers from all CF locations convened in either Winnipeg, St-Jean, or Trenton for what proved to be a week of learning, exchanging of ideas and, as often the case when HP staff members come together, a few laughs.
The training prepared HP staff to conduct the Butt Out smoking cessation program. Available to all members of the Canadian Forces and the Defence team, the Butt Out program involves 9 small group sessions spread over 15 weeks. A self-help guide is also available for participants who cannot attend the formal program.
