Christian Roy, PSP Manager for 5 ASU as of January 12, 2004

LCol Daniel Ménard announced November 27 the reorganization of PSP at 5 Area Support Unit (ASU) for Land Forces Quebec Area (LFQA). The aim of the reorganization is to harmonize the PSP organizational structure and the military hierarchy currently in use at 5 ASU. Changes include:

One PSP Manager, responsible for the overall delivery of PSP in LFQA, will be located at Longue-Pointe in Montréal with 5 ASU HQ. This person will have a Deputy PSP Manager, also located at Longue-Pointe. The Deputy Manager will oversee messes and the day-to-day operations of the Manager's office. We are pleased to announce the selection of Christian Roy, former Hospitality Manager at CFPSA HQ, as the new PSP Manager for 5 ASU. Mr. Roy served in the military and has extensive experience in the hospitality business and in running special interest clubs. His MBA in marketing will definitely be an asset in managing our new PSP operation in 5 ASU. His Deputy PSP Manager is Celine Arsenault, who comes from St-Anne de Bellevue Veterans Hospital. She is a dietician by trade and provided food services at the hospital for 18 years. Her MBA in operational management will greatly assist our new organization in LFQA.

The former positions of PSP Manager for Valcartier and Montréal are eliminated. Regrettably, we have to announce the departure of Gilles Magnan and Jean-Pierre Toupin from their positions. We wish them the best of luck in the future.

The former positions of Assistant PSP Manager and Administrative Assistant at Valcartier are also eliminated. We wish good luck to André Brière and Nicole Cantin in their future endeavours.
