Pierre Lemay, President of SISIP Financial Services announced the recipients of the SISIP Financial Services Employee/Team Certificate of Merit for 2002 in August. An official presentation to honour each of them will be held in Ottawa at the 2003 SISIP Kick-off in November.

The 2002 Employee Certificates of Merit recipients are Marc Britney, SISIP Financial Planner/ Branch Manager (Greenwood, NS) and Maurice Girard, Assistant Manager-Treasurer CFPAF (Ottawa, ON).

The year 2002 was a record year for SISIP Insurance Representatives who conducted more than 500 briefings attended by more than 25,000 persons. Due to the many deployed members, the SISIP representatives also worked weekends and evenings to ensure that our CF members were adequately insured. Thanks to the tireless efforts of each of these employees, they have provided security and peace of mind to many CF members and their families.

The 2002 Team Certificate of Merit has been awarded to the Insurance Representatives Team: Roger Poulin, Gilles Lemay, Eddy Goulet, Paul Bazinet, Denise Ray, Jennifer Rae, Garry Lind, Steve Peckitt and Diana Hrushy.

Marc Britney has shown excellent leadership throughout 2002 by involving himself and his SISIP colleagues in all life facets of the 14 Wing Greenwood military community. Marc’s efforts and dedication helped advance the cause of SISIP Financial Services and the CFPSA. He has been a key team player with CANEX, PSP, Base Funds, MFRC, and senior members of the Wing by organizing and hosting meetings, presenting numerous briefings, and participating and coordinating various base events such as the Wing Welcome Pancake Breakfast.

In 2002, Maurice Girard showed exceptional dedication in the development of new loan management software now in use by the CFPAF office. This software has not only increased the response time to customer inquiries, it also requires less maintenance. This accomplishment has greatly improved the personnel working conditions, and has improved the efficiency in the loan administration process.

Congratulations to all of the recipients of the 2002 Employee/Team Certificate of Merit!
