Volunteers play a vital role in both Community Recreation and Youth Services, and Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) programs across the Canadian Forces (CF). In recognition of the critical roles these volunteers play, Greg Pearson, Executive Vice President Personnel Support Programs (PSP), announced in January that SISIP will sponsor a volunteers recognition program (VRP) on a trial basis this year.

This new initiative will allow PSP Recreation and Youth Services, and MFRC staff to access funding to assist in the planning, promotion, and implementation of events designed to celebrate and recognize the contributions of the wonderful CF volunteers.

Throughout 2003, we will be sharing with you the stories of the exciting volunteers recognition events made possible by the generous support of SISIP.
