CFB Shilo may have a small population, but a recent 'big city' upgrade to digital cable made CFB Shilo cable subscribers very happy. The upgrade began two years ago and culminated in the first digital customer being hooked up in February 2003. Digital service brought over 250 new channel selections to viewers, not to mention pay-per-view service.

Custom digital cable packages were specifically designed to meet the unique needs of the military population. There was also no need to rent or purchase hardware and no charge for multiple hook-ups. With service in mind, an on-site technician is always available, so delays are minimal when members are posted in and out of Shilo.

"It was a natural progression," said PSP Manager Mike McEwan, "We needed to upgrade the system to keep up with the industry standard, and we wanted to offer our customers the best possible service in the process."

Cable savings are not only limited to individual households. Messes and special entities also have the opportunity to take advantage of multiple hook-ups throughout their facilities at very reasonable rates.
