The 5th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Canadian Forces Newspapers was held at 8 Wing Trenton, April 5-9, 2003. Supported by CFPSA, the group represents 17 base/wing newspapers from across the country. At the conference, 8 Wing Trenton Contact Editor Andrea Leblanc was elected President, while Lynn Devereaux, Managing Editor of Trident, was elected Vice-President.

Members were updated on the National Defense On Line project and a draft policy was adopted regarding the sale of national advertising. Jacques Adam, the new CFPSA Sponsorship and Unofficial Services Newspaper Manager, met with the delegates and offered them tips on marketing their newspapers. Other presenters included, Marion Grobb, Director of Communications at CFPSA and Guy Paquette, D-News Coordinator.

A special thanks to outgoing President Susan Holman and Corina de Guire, publisher of the Lookout, for making the conference a success. Feedback from participants was very positive, the conference agenda was well received and delegates appreciated the opportunity to network and share ideas.
