2002 Winners
Music at the Chapel at CFB Shilo, Manitoba will be sounding even sweeter in 2003. Base Chaplain, Captain Jim Bekkema, won the 2002 CANEX/The Personal Club XTra grand prize of 10 Million points. He plans on purchasing a new piano for the Chapel, a DVD player for himself and will donate some of his winnings to others.

Bekkema has been in the Canadian Forces for 20 years, and was very excited to have won the contest. When he was first notified that he had won, he didn't believe it - until his Base Commander told him it was true. A celebration with cake and balloons took place at the local CANEX retail outlet , along with a presentation of a cheque to Bekkema valued at $10,000.
