1. Despite a goal late in the second period by the Quebec region, the women's broomball team forced the final game of the CF National Championship into overtime. The Ontario region team went on to win. Master Warrant Officer Cindy Rafuse checks Sergeant Manon Sauvé in front of the net, while Master Bombardier Linda Migneault watches the ball go in the net.
At the CF National Badminton Championship, the Quebec region secured its fifth straight win by finishing 16 points ahead of the runners up - the Prairie region.
The Quebec region also finished first at the 2002 CF National Squash Championship. It is also important to note that two members of the Quebec squad went on to win individual honours in the Ladies and Under 30 categories.
In April, military swimmers (20 men and 12 women) competed in 100- and 200-metre heats. The three fastest competitors in four different categories (Men's under 35, Men's 35 and over, Women's under 35, Women's 35 and over) received gold, silver, and bronze medals.
