Ah…Summer! And SISIP is almost in full bloom. From 1969 to 1991, SISIP fulfilled a life and disability insurance need specific to Canadian Forces (CF) personnel and their families through a dedicated network of SISIP advisors located at most bases, units, and ships in Canada and abroad. Today SISIP has expanded its services to offer competitively priced financial services and products by qualified professionals which include life and disability insurance, financial counselling and planning services, financial assistance programs under the Canadian Forces Personnel Assistance Fund, as well as financial management education for recruits and officer cadets. Information on all these services can be found on the new SISIP web site at www.sisip.com.

SISIP now has 93 employees and 15 offices across Canada, from Comox, British Columbia to St. John's, Newfoundland, and we are pleased to inform you on the birth of the latest offspring …

Beginning on a very sunny, cool and crisp January 29th, Chantal Mercier, V.P. Insurance Services, opened the 13th SISIP Financial Services branch in Borden, Ontario. Joining Chantal for this exciting event from the Maple Conference Centre was the Branch Manager and staff, the Acting Base Commander, LCol Chevrier, and over 80 CF personnel who witnessed the first breath of this newest addition.

The rainy weather certainly didn't dampen any spirits at Esquimalt where Pierre Lemay, President SISIP Financial Services, on January 30th, officially launched and breathed life into the 14th SISIP Financial Services branch by beginning the day with a briefing to the Base Commander, Capt (N) Round, and the senior leadership at CFB Esquimalt.

Finally on a bright, crisp prairie day, André Bouchard, V.P. Financial Planning, welcomed the third offspring, the 15th SISIP Financial Services branch in Edmonton. On January 31st, André, along with the Branch Manager and staff, welcomed approximately 50 guests to this special event. The Base Commander, LCol Curry, greeted the team and wished them the best of success in their endeavour.

It is not over yet! By year-end, the last offspring will be rooted in Winnipeg/Shilo, and Cold Lake. This overwhelming expansion will allow SISIP to continue to provide "those who serve" and their families, as well as the retired military community, with the best Financial Solutions for Today…and Tomorrow!

Have a fun and safe summer!
