Congratulations go out to Mike Taylor (left), a CFPSA Department of Physical Education (DPE) manager, and Sandi Bruff, a Royal Military College (RMC) soccer coach and fitness instructor, for graduating with Master of Arts (MA) degrees from Queens University in October. Bruff’s graduate degree is in psychology of sport while Taylor’s is in the sociology of sport. They commenced their programs working full-time as PSP staff members at RMC and both took advantage of the CFPSA’s Subsidized Education and Career Development Plan to offset some of the cost.

Greg Pearson, Executive Vice-President, PSP (right) had the privilege of honouring Colonel Ian Poulter, the former Director of Quality of Life for his outstanding work in support of PSP and the Directorate of Military Family Services (DMFS). Col Poulter has moved on to become Executive Assistant to the Chief of the Defence Staff.

In December, Ben Oulette (right), CFPSA’s Testing section CF Applicant Coordinator, was the first PSP employee ever to be awarded the Boomerang Award for Excellence in Customer Service. The award, presented by the Executive Vice-President PSP, Greg Pearson, was created to recognize divisional employees who go beyond the call of duty to meet customer needs. PSP worked with Human Resources in developing the award and is committed presenting it to a new employee every two months.
