In an effort to promote physical fitness and raise troop morale during the Christmas season, CFPSA staff in Velika Kladusa (VK) together with the Camp Black Bear Running Club held a Christmas 5k Walk/ Run. Donations from the event were coordinated by Padre Karen Fillmore and went to provide gifts to VK children in need.

The weather was perfect and over 80 people participated in the event. Some impressive times were recorded on the snow covered 3-lap course within the camp. The top male finisher was Capt Romain Hardy with a time of 18:18 and Capt Anik Lefebvre took top honours in the women’s class with a time of 22:47. Santa (the CFPSA’s John Higdon) even managed to take time out of his busy schedule to participate in the walk event. He was just shy of the bronze medal.
