Two talents - Randy and Florence

What's that all about anyway? Is it the next big dot com.company to go the way of the dodo bird? Or is it the newest country band to come out of small-town Canada? How about "none of the above". IA and R stands for Internal Audit and Review, and while we're not sure how well they make music, we can tell you they're bound to make your business stop singin' the blues, and start spreadin' the news. In simple speak, they know how to make your business better or maybe just affirm that everything you're doing is A-OK.
The staff at the CFPSA's Internal Audit and Review (IA&R) division have a mission: to provide you with review, audit and management consulting services to help you do business better. Their tools are formidable - not frightening! Things like:
- Independent client-focused advice
- Management Framework Reviews
- Program Evaluations
- Internal Audits
- Risk Assessment and Analysis
IA&R staff possess expertise in OptionFinder - an interactive keypad technology. Ever seen "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?". OptionFinder makes group discussions easy, can conduct audience polls to test ideas, concepts opinions and courses of action. OptionFinder can:
- Save time through shorter and fewer meetings
- Enhance group participation with anonymity of votes
- Quantify, compare and document group inputs
- Improve communication and decision making
Control Self Assessment (CSA) is another tool IA&R staff are promoting . This system enables employee teams to get together with their manager and a specialist facilitator to analyze, within a control framework, the strengths and obstacles which affect their ability to do their jobs. CSA uses OptionFinder technology to ensure anonymity and to encourage open discussion. The workshops generally take one full day, and a report is issued within three days after the workshop. It's designed to improve your business by identifying areas of concern, affirming what works, and providing solutions for those things that need improvement. ![]()
Auditors used to be they were about as welcome as a horde of ants at a picnic. But hey, the times, they are "a changin".
