New Workforce in Europe
By Lucie Lapierre

It was not a 360 degree rotation, but it sure felt like it. CFPSA in Europe had a 66 per cent turnover during the 2005 posting season, creating a brand new CFPSA workforce.
Where are CFPSA employees in Europe?
- 9 employees in Daws Hill, United Kingdom
- 27 employees in Brunssum, the Netherlands, Geilenkirchen and Niederheid, Germany
- 15 employees in Ramstein, Germany
- 8 employees in Heidelberg, Germany
- 5 employees in Brussels, Belgium
- 12 employees in SHAPE, Belgium
- 4 employees in Naples, Italy
There are a total of 80 CFPSA employees from various backgrounds. They must be versatile and able to work in a foreign environment. It is not easy to order supplies in another language, or to orient a new family when you are new yourself. Our managers also face many challenges such as dealing with a host countrys laws and regulations.
How do we help our employees reach their full potential? We work closely with employees and managers to address areas of concern and find solutions. The HR staff is always just a phone call away. The HR employee orientation session helps managers and employees understand what CFPSA is about.
Living and working in Europe is exciting and challenging. Thanks to a great workforce that is dedicated to offering programs and services that meet the CFPSA mission and vision. We could not function without you. To the employees of CFPSA in Europe, chapeau!
