Leave

For detailed information regarding leave entitlements, please refer to your local Human Resources Office and/or collective agreement. If you are non-bargaining unit or Category II employee, consult your local Human Resources Office and/or the Human Resources Policy and Procedures Manual for more information.

Note: Leave Benefits policies apply to all Non Public Funds (NPF) employees, except where otherwise indicated or where a collective agreement is in force and deals with the same or a similar provision. In that case, the collective agreement takes precedence.

Statutory Holidays

The recognized statutory holidays are:

  • New Years Day
  • Good Friday
  • Easter Monday
  • Victoria Day
  • Canada Day
  • Civic Holiday (or in Quebec - La Saint-Jean-Baptiste)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Remembrance Day
  • Christmas Day
  • Boxing Day

Other Types of Leave

  • Annual Leave
  • Maternity Leave
  • Parental Leave
  • Bereavement Leave
  • Court Leave and Jury Duty
  • Military Leave
  • Leave without pay
  • Sick Leave
