CFPSA is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We comply with all of the requirements of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act to protect the privacy of your personal information.

We gather information about all of our users collectively to determine what sites are most frequently visited and which services are most frequently accessed. We only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users, and how we can continually create a better overall experience for you.

While most users who visit CFPSA on-line will not be required to provide any personal information, should you choose to apply for a job at CFPSA over the Internet, you will be required to provide the personal information that is necessary to process your job application. CFPSA may also use data collected through personal identification in order to generate statistics and aggregate reports for internal use. These statistics and aggregate reports will not contain any personally identifiable information. User identity remains anonymous.

When you fill out a job application on-line, your personal details are scrambled using SSL encryption technology before being sent over the Internet. Only when it reaches the CFPSA servers is information decrypted.

Although we cannot guarantee encryption or the privacy of personal information sent over the internet, SSL makes it very difficult for your information to be stolen or intercepted while being transferred, and internal Agency security controls protect this information after it has been submitted into our system.
