The CDCB Saving Plus contest coincided with the launch of the new CDCB Savings Plus account where customers can earn four per cent annual interest (when a daily balance of more than $1,000 is maintained in the account). Customers who signed up for a CDCB Savings Plus Account last summer were automatically entered for a chance to win $10,000 towards their new account.

"When I found out I won I was excited!" exclaims OCdt Walker. "I called my parents and my girlfriend to tell them."

OCdt Walker was thrilled to receive the $10,000 cheque from CIBC and CFPSA representatives during a ceremony at the RMC campus.

"I signed up for a CDCB account because it was easy and for the four per cent rate," explains OCdt Walker. "Now I've won money to put towards a down payment on my first house in a few years!"
