VEHICLE REGULATIONS UNDER CONSOLIDATED INSURANCE PROGRAM

GENERAL

It is NPF policy to comply with provincial law in the matter of registration and licensing of vehicles that are to be used on provincial highways.

POLICY

It follows from the above that vehicles owned by an NPF activity are to be registered and licensed with provincial authorities where vehicles are used as follows:

USE	ACTION TO TAKE
If vehicles only used on DND property	Do not register or licence with Provincial Authorities
If vehicle used on and off DND property	Register and licence with Provincial Authorities.

APPLICABILITY OF POLICY

This policy is applicable to NPF vehicles operated in Canada and by Canadian Forces in Germany.
