ANNEX D STOCKTAKING ORGANIZATION
1. This Annex amplifies Chapter 26 and outlines a standard
stocktaking organization for units as well as providing specific terms
of reference for all personnel concerned.
STOCKTAKING BOARD
2. Prior to the commencement of the NPF fiscal year, the BComd shall
appoint a stocktaking hoard consisting of:
a. An officer who will serve as the chairman of the stocktaking
board; and
b. Sufficient NCMs to conduct the stocktakings required during
the year.
3. The chairman and members of the stocktaking board must be
independant and, therefore, not involved in the custody or control of
inventories being counted.
4. The chairman will be responsible to the BComd and the members of
the board shall make themselves available for stocktaking duties as
required by the chairman. Board members may be called on to assist in
the stocktaking of retail outlets (see Appendix 4, para 1d).
RESPONSIBILITIES
5. Specific responsibilities related to stocktaking are stated in the
terms of reference attached as Appendices to this annex.
