ANNEX D - CHAPTER 11
PUBLIC LIABILITY
COVERAGE
-
Comprehensive general liability coverage under the NPF ClP provides for the payment of all sums which NPF may become obligated to pay by reason of the liability imposed by law for damages arising out of NPF operations because of:
-
bodily injury, personal injuries, sickness, disease, disability, mental suffering, including death at any time resulting therefrom sustained by any person or persons; and
-
damage to, destruction of, loss of, or loss of use of property, including loss resulting therefrom.
NOTE: See paragraph 12 of this chapter for risks excluded from coverage.
EXCLUSIONS

Vehicles are not covered other than those intended for use only on Base or Station premises, ie, tractors, snowmobiles, and golf club mobile equipment.

NPF owned aircraft, including gliders, are also not covered under the policy and therefore glider and soaring clubs must obtain their own public liability coverage.

Licensed vehicles are insured in Vehicle Insurance Section.

Injuries to NPF paid employees occurring in the course of their NPF employment are not covered under this section. This coverage is provided under Employer's Liability Section for employees who are not covered under the Government Employee Compensation Act (GECA).
DEDUCTIBLE

Unit deductible rates for each occurrence of loss are outlined in paragraph 15 of this chapter.
LIMIT OF LIABILITY

The limit of liability is $10,000,000 for each occurrence.

an individual working on a self-help project without remuneration, is covered under this section; but
-
an individual working on a self-help project for remuneration is not covered under this section. Coverage would be obtained under Workmen's Compensation or Employer's Legal Liability Insurance - See Annex F.
