Prairie Flyers bring home gold

The 15 Wing Moose Jaw Prairie Flyers, representing the Prairie region, defeated the Ontario Region's CFB Kingston 3-1 at the 2004 CF National Women's Volleyball Championships, April 17-21.
After two days of high-spirited tournament play, the Ontario Region ousted the Quebec Region in semi-final action. The Prairie Region secured a spot in the final game after defeating the Pacific Region in the semi-finals.
Overall, the women's play was among the highest calibre ever seen at the national level. The women's teams were strong in all.aspects; serving, setting, attacking and digging. The Moose Jaw Prairie Flyers' precise passing, well-planned attacks, effective serves and blocks were key to their gold medal win.
The tournament MVP, Captain Luce Gilbert from the 15 Wing team, was also honoured with the Dedication to CF Sports Award for her tireless commitment to the sport she loves.
