A program designed for the unique needs of the military community
By Jaëlle Deslauriers, Communications Advisor
At a recent Family day in CFB Gagetown, while children were running around with balloons in their hands and smiles on their faces, parents had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Canadian Defence Community Banking (CDCB) program a tailored service which is offered by your Non-Public Property through a partnership with BMO® Bank of Montreal®
The day featured an unveiling of the new full service banking machine on the base. Throughout the day, participants who were already clients of BMO Bank of Montreal or were applying for a Support Our Troops MasterCard® were able to enter a draw for a chance to win 1,000 AIR MILES®. The lucky winner, announced at the end of the day, was Jeff Williston. A CDCB official also announced that $2,750 was donated to the Gagetown Base Fund thanks to those who had applied for a Support Our Troops MasterCard and to a donation from BMO Bank of Montreal.
The Canadian Defence Community Banking program was designed with the specific needs of the military community in mind, and strives to eliminate the turmoil of changing financial arrangements on posting and to provide great value to its users. Available to Regular CF and Reserve Force members, retired and former CF members, DND employees, NPF employees, and family members, the program works in partnership with BMO Bank of Montreal.
For military personnel and Defence Community members, CDCB, offers two cost-effective everyday banking plans. Each has features and options designed to make banking simple and convenient for personnel of the Canadian Forces. Both plans also provide exclusive benefits, making them a greater value than regular plans.
In addition, the CDCB has launched a Support Our Troops MasterCard. The card is available to members of the CF and anyone in the general population. It provides an opportunity for all Canadians to give back to the military community. Every time the card is used to make a purchase, a payment is made to Support Our Troops funds from BMO Bank of Montreal. This is done at no additional cost to the user.
