When Natacha Tremblay, Canadian Defence Community Banking (CDCB) Manager signed up for the 2010 Air Force Run she knew the event was rain or shine but she didn’t expect to get drenched.  Neither did over 400 runners who braved the pouring rain to participate in the 2nd Annual Air Force Run.

Participating in the Air Force Run was a good opportunity to have an early start to my running season.  As a former Air Force member, it was great to support this good cause,” remarked Ms. Tremblay.  “It was also an opportunity for me to blend work and training, since CDCB / BMO Bank of Montreal was a major sponsor of this year’s run.”

BMO Bank of Montreal staff also endured the rain; they volunteered to hand out water and medals at the event. As the official bank of the Canadian Defence Community, BMO Bank of Montreal is becoming more active at bases, units & wings across Canada. Part of the CDCB’s mandate is to support morale and welfare programs.  Their participation in the Air Force Run is an example of how they are getting involved in their communities.

“BMO Bank of Montreal is very proud of our relationship with the Defence Community,” explained Glenn Laycock, Program Specialist, BMO Bank of Montreal.  “We enjoy meeting members of our community and help them to be financially successful as their futures unfold.  We are thankful for this growing relationship and look forward to doing more together.”

The BMO Bank of Montreal team remained outgoing, dynamic and friendly in the pouring rain throughout the entire day.  This was appreciated by the runners who were also required to stick it out in the rain.

CDCB offers a comprehensive range of cost effective products, plans and services which include low-cost student loans, lines of credit, as well as a BMO Support Our Troops MasterCard that directly benefits Canadian Forces morale and welfare programs.  The program is available to all CANEX authorized patrons including employees of the Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces and family members.  For more information about the CDCB program please visit www.cdcb.ca.
