Banking just got a little easier at CFB Kingston
This summer a new BMO Bank of Montreal Instabank machine was installed at the CANEX mall and on 28 October, the Canadian Defence Community Banking (CDCB) program hosted an official ribbon cutting ceremony to highlight the benefits of the CDCB program.
“I’m very pleased to be at CFB Kingston celebrating the arrival of our new automated banking machine,” said Lloyd Fleming, Vice President, Kingston, BMO Bank of Montreal. “It’s a natural step in our growing relationship which we hope you’ll use frequently. This ABM provides customers with full-service banking to accommodate regular banking needs.”
Delivered in partnership with BMO Bank of Montreal, this Chief of the Defence Staff approved program is uniquely suited to the needs of the defence community. It is designed to provide enhanced banking services and to eliminate the turmoil of changing financial arrangements on posting.
“This is a very important service provided to CF members,” remarked Base Commander Colonel Fawcett. “In my mind, it’s not just about having a bank account. What’s unique to us is that we move all over the country and the world. Consistency of service and understanding the military lifestyle can have a huge impact on our quality of life.”
Senior leaders at CFB Kingston were briefed about the program at the Board of Governors meeting. It was an opportunity to emphasize the advantages of the program including a special mortgage offer. CDCB offers CF members on Integrated Relation Program (IRP) qualified moves a waiver of the interest rate differential penalties above those reimbursed under the IRP on their current and new BMO mortgages.
