OPERATION SANTA CLAUS ANNUAL REPORT 2008

The purpose of OSC is to provide Christmas gifts and greetings to all CF personnel serving abroad on deployed operations and to personnel stationed at CFS Alert during the holiday season.  This program is intended to bring a taste of home to our soldiers at Christmas time as well as remind them that they are remembered at this special time of year.

DONATIONS

Operation Santa Claus could not operate without support from our donators.
A total of 57 donations were made to Op Santa 2008.  There were 12 cash donations and 45 were product in kind.
One of our largest and most anticipated donations comes from SISIP and CANEX.  Since 1998, they have provided a duffle bag/backpack for every OSC parcel. These backpacks can be seen being carried by our soldiers on every base across Canada.
Another large donation comes from Logistik Unicorp.  For the last three years they have supplied golf shirts for all deployed members.

Cash donations have come from service groups and companies such as:

  • The Kingston Civitan Club
  • Sears Canada’s
  • Op Wish Program
  • 543 Wingham Valiants Air Cadets
  • Walmar Atlantic
  • Petro Canada
  • National Smokeless Tobacco Co.
  • St. Michaels Church Group
  • Angus Christmas Parade and Westman
