SISIP Financial Services

By Marie Navarro, Communications Coordinator (Ottawa)

2009 marks a milestone anniversary for SISIP Financial Services (SISIP FS); indeed, we celebrate 40 years as the Canadian Forces (CF) delivery arm of financial solutions for serving and former CF personnel and their families.

Since 1969, SISIP FS strives to provide the best financial products and services tailored to the unique lifestyle of the CF community. During these past 40 years, thanks to our dedicated team of financial professionals, located within 18 offices throughout most of the major bases/wings across Canada, we have developed and sustained a vast array of services:

• Long Term Disability and Term Life Insurance;
• Financial Planning and Investment Services;
• Financial Counselling;
• Financial Education Program;
• Loans and grants through the Canadian Forces Personnel Assistance Fund (CFPAF)

We also contribute financially to a number of programs including the Morale and Welfare Unit Grants which alone received $2.5M of the $4M in total contributions for 2008.  Indeed, Bases and Wings have been the beneficiaries of this financial support aimed at promoting cohesion through individual and team sports, and contributing to interaction, learning and personal growth through recreational programs, clubs and associations, as well as specialty interest activities throughout the CF.

However, ultimately the goal for SISIP FS is to foster a healthy financial future by enhancing the quality of life of our men and women in uniform and their families, thereby continuing to stand by our commitment to “serving those who serve”.

If you know authorized patrons who are interested in our services, please direct them to our website (www.sisip.com) or invite them to contact us directly by phone (1-800-267-668). We will be pleased to provide further information on our comprehensive line of financial services and products.
